13 03 2010

With the success of its first Gucci Icon_Temporary store in New York, the second installment of this moving store opened at Miami fashion district. Following Innit’s review on the New York store,  this store also features 18 styles of exclusive sneakers including a special edition new Gucci Ronson sneaker that is only exclusive to the Miami store as the picture below. Also, all Gucci Icon-Temporary shoes come in a special box packaging that is designed specifically for the city. The leather tag on the shoe laces can also be customised with the customers’ initials, making it more exclusive.

As with the store outlook, it follows the same consistency of the NY’s store, clean white wash walls with Gucci’s signature webbing with the limited editions shoes being highlighted as the center piece. Of course music is a must at the store as it is a collaboration of Music and Fashion, hence a DJ deck is presence spinning exclusive tunes that Mark Ronson has produced for Gucci. A 12-inch vinyl of the Gucci Ronson music will also be included with every purchase of the Gucci Icon-Temporary shoes.

We heard the turn out at the launch party wasn’t fantastic as it was raining in New York that evening or was it due to some other reasons? Ho hum….

Talking about Fashion and Music (which is what innit magazine is all about), we now have another collaboration between a huge fashion label with a renowed music producer Mark Ronson. Mark Ronson who hails from the UK has produced for many great artists and is mainly known for the success of the quirky and eccentric Amy Winehouse.

Like Kanye West for Louis Vuitton sneakers, Gucci is doing the similar with Mark Ronson and would be known as Gucci Ronson. This collection will be in line with Gucci’s introduction of the flash sneaker stores which will be launched pretty soon around the world. The 2 line ups seen here for the Gucci Ronson shoes features bright colours in blue and white combination with a hint of yellow.

Ronson has been a fan of Gucci for a long time and can be seen at most of Gucci’s fashion shows, hence it is timely that they collaborated.

Gucci Ronson shoes will be sold at a range of USD500 – USD600
